The Linphone project is an open-source solution launched in 2001. It started as a personal project worked on during spare time and has now grown into a sustainable business employing 20 people, including 15 software developers. We believe that hiring open-source developers is the best way to reward them for their contributions to the open-source ecosystem.
We are often asked how an open-source company can generate revenue and grow in the long term. We rely on three different revenue streams, as explained in the video.
